What to Expect?
During a SensEpil treatment:

For many people, using SensEpil may be their first experience with a light-based device designed for self-treatment. SensEpil is simple to use, and treatments go by quickly. During treatment it is normal to experience:

  • A Flash of Light
    The bright light of SensEpil will not harm the eyes when applied to non-facial sites, and special eye-protection is not needed when doing SensEpil treatments.

  • A Fan Noise
    The cooling fan in SensEpil makes noise similar to a hairdryer. This is normal.

  • A Pop Sound with Each Pulse
    When a pulse of HPL™ light is activated, it is normal to hear a subtle pop sound simultaneously with the flash of light.

  • Moderate Pressure of the Applicator
    This is necessary and helpful for placement of adjacent pulses of light.

  • Sensation of Warmth and Tingling
    During each pulse of light it is normal to feel a mild sensation of warmth and tingling from the light energy. Remember it is important to always use low energy settings for initial treatments.

Is SensEpil For You?
  • Do not use SensEpil on naturally dark skin complexion!

    SensEpil removes unwanted hair by selectively addressing hair pigment. Varied quantities of pigment also exist in the surrounding tissue of skin. The quantity of pigment in a particular person’s skin, which is manifested by their skin complexion, determines the degree of risk they are exposed to using SensEpil.

    Treating dark skin with SensEpil can result in adverse effects such as burns, blisters, and skin color changes (hyper- or hypo-pigmentation).

  • SensEpil works variably on blond, red and gray hairs

    SensEpil effectively removes darker hair because its effect is directed at the hair pigment. SensEpil may not be effective on light hair because it contains smaller quantities of pigment. However, in clinical trials it was observed that some of the lighter hair users did achieve satisfactory results with SensEpil.

Typical areas for Silk’N FaceFX treatment are the cheeks, forehead, neck, and around the eyes.
Silk’N FaceFX Treatment Sessions:
The efficiency of the results varies from person to person and according to the frequency of use and skin type. Some may see results sooner than others. A single FaceFX session usually takes 15-20 minutes in which you should gently glide the FaceFX applicator over the desired treatment area. During the procedure you should feel gentle heat penetrating deep into the skin.
Initial Silk’N FaceFX treatment course:
During the first month (4 weeks), treatment should be performed 3 times a week for 15-20 minutes each time
Silk’N FaceFX maintenance regime:
After the inital 4 weeks, use the Silk’n FaceFX once a week for 15-20 minutes for maintenance sessions.
What to expect when using Silk’N FaceFX?
During Silk’N FaceFX treatment it is normal to experience and feel:
  • A Sensation of Warmth. During Silk’N FaceFX treatment you may feel slight warmth. This is normal and should dissipate up to an hour after the session.
  • Some mild red sheen. After each Silk’n FaceFX session you may notice a slight reddening of the skin (mild erythema) in the treated area. This is normal and should fade within an hour or two.
